Too Skinny 4 a Mom asked:

I’m 18 years old, 5′ 2 ( 62 ) tall, and 103 Lbs. My family keeps asking if I’m bulimic. I don’t throw up or take laxitives, but I have taken diuretics (water pills) and diet pills. I don’t think I have an eating disorder. I just want to know if I’m at risk of becoming, or I’f I already am. Thank you.

Can a cat have an eating disorder?

eating disorder
whyjen88 asked:

I got my cat from the Humane Society last year after they rescued him from the pound. He has gotten quite fat because he eats all the time. I limit the amount of cat food I give him based on what his vet recommended but he will clear a plate and eat bread whenever he gets a chance. He also meows as if he’s hungry constantly until feeding time. When I let him outside he goes on killing sprees. Can he have an eating disorder because he went hungry before being rescued? I searched cat eating disorders and got back people who EAT cats.

I have an eating disorder and my parents need help with the insurance and getting money together to pay for the treatment. I wanted to provide them with a scholarship that could help pay. But I have looked online and cant really find any. Does anyone know of any sites, or place that offer these kind’s of scholarships?

I had an eating disorder last year and lost alot of weight fast about 90lbs in 4 or 5 months and I was hospitalized. My hair started falling out in the summer, and my dermathologist told me to take 2.5mg of biotin. Does anyone know how long it takes to start noticing new hair strands or thicker hair?

I used to have an eating disorder, which started when I choked on a piece of food, then after that I was scared of swallowing anything in case it happened again. I was already quite thin, so it made me drop to a dangerously low weight of about 45lbs. I had hypnotherapy and psychiatric treatment and am overcoming it, but still wary. I’m now 80lbs which is still very thin for 5ft 4, but a big improvement, but I am still trying to gain more weight, but Im not sure how. I **** it when people say, gosh your so thin because it makes me self conscious and upset about what I’ve been through.
So does anyone know how I gain weight in a healthy way, not by junk food and no exercise. I am also a vegetarian, which doesnt seem to help =s

I developed lactose intolerance later in life at around the age of 19 or 20 yrs old. When I was 16 I had an extreme eating disorder. Could my intolerance have been brought on by that?

I am suffering from bulimia and am looking for a good eating disorder treatment center. My parents and I want the best for me, but we have to find a place that takes blue cross insurance (ppo, or something). So far I have found only one I liked (Casa De Lago), but I don’t know if they take insurance. If anyone knows of a good place your input and advice would be much helpful. Thanks.

I am a female of 5 foot 2 and I don’t get a lot of exercise. I only burn about 1600-1800 calories a day according to my doctor. Which means I don’t need to eat as much as my roommate who is approx. 5 foot 9, male and works construction. Etc. What I don’t get is why everyone keeps telling me I need to eat more when I make sure that I eat enough to maintain my weight, get my nutrients, and stay healthy.

So I guess what I’m asking here is, why do some people think that if you don’t eat huge meals or you are not over-weight, that you must have an eating disorder?
For those who asked my weight, it is 118lbs and my bmi is 21.6 (a normal bmi is between 18.5 and 24.9)
