I am doing a book report and there is a character who is bulimic in the book.
For a “creative” part of the assignment, I am making a soundtrack.
Does anyone know any songs about bulimia or children’s hospitals?

One of the many excellent videos I have discovered recently on the topic of anorexia.
A slideshow of me and the stages of my eating disorder. I cannot believe that I was so underweight and thought i was way over the normal. You can watch this video and get a glimpse into my life when I was anorexic, but this video doesn’t even begin to tell the story or the struggle of thousands of other girls… or my own. Speaking from a personal basis, you cannot see the cold, purple, numb hands, the lanugo covering my shivering body, my hair falling out in clumps, the cold, dark hands, and that’s speaking from a personal basis. I just spoke with an old teacher who had me when I was at my worst, and she told me I look miserable, had no friends, that the only conversations we had had were about food, that I was very hostile when asked if I had anorexia, would wear several layers of clothes at any time, including sweatshirts in the summer, spoke very, very fast due to OCD and being on the edge I guess, would zone out in class, etc. There are so many horrible memories I have from anorexia, and I hope to help girls suffering and also encourage eating disorder awareness.. hopefully to prevent the onset of this horrible disorder which becomes your life. Yes I was the queen of binge eating disorder. I suffered from BED binge eating disorder for the majority of my life. I have not binged this whole year and do not intend to binge for the rest of my life. The first step of overcoming this disorder is figuring out the emotions your using the binge to cope with. And dealing with those emotions. I have no problem laying all this out here about my disorder because addictions and disorders feed on shame and secrecy. A question from dogsrule93: What is the diffrence between bulimia and binge and purge anorexia?
Hi,
I am doing a research paper on eating disorders, and in my research, I have found that there are two sub types of anorexia- restricting and the binging and purging type. To me, the binging purging anorexia sounds very much like bulimia. If you could tell me the distinguishing characteristics between the binging purging type of anorexia and bulimia, that would really help with the report. THANKS!!!!

Answer by PattyKate there’s definitely some overlap between the too, but i think the main difference is bulimics binge and purge constantly, while anorexia binge-purge type is restricting but when they binge (it’s bound to happen) they purge

My friend is anorexic. Every time i try to talk to her about it, she just says to stay out of her personal business. then she tells me that if i tell anyone, that she will make it so that no one will believe me. any tips on how to help her without ruining our friendship? (we are really good friends) oh and i have already told someone i know, but i dont want to tell anyone else b/c they might tell her that i told them.

how do over come a eating disorder I am still hungery even when my stomack is full and i’m alwaysm thinking of food.

Answer by katelynn? chew some gum or play some sports or video games if you need to, so you can focus on something else. or get some really healthy snacks so when you’re hungry, you can eat with out worrying.
