I'm 14 and have been builmic since i was 12. Here's the thing your life sounds EXACTLY like mine. i would first start by telling a friend your own age. (they seem to be the best)
I know people are gonna rip on me for saying this but i wouldn't go to your school counsler. Mine found out and it's been hell since. So I would start with a friend, then a relative that isn't a parent, then a brother or sister, then work your way up to your parents. I hope this helps :)

Do tell your dad, and don't mention anything about how your mom responded. The next time you tell your mother, pull her aside and tell her that it's serious. Lectures do very little good, as they're just verbal punishment, nothing serious or anything. Don't blow your mom off when she says that she's going to schedule doctor appointments, either. Next time, tell her that you do want to go, and you do want help with it.

Bulimia is a serious disease, as I'm sure that you know. Several of my friends did what you did... they didn't like the way that their parents were treating the issue, and they knew that it was hurting them. However, they stuck together, and they told us about it. We acted like a net- whenever they would go to the bathroom, we would go with them. Friends are the best defense against anything that's ailing you.

I do not know of any sites as of yet that help with bulimia, but I do know there are some out there. I will update this when I find it.

Talk to any one that you are comfortable with about your problem. Someone's bound to notice it, and they should help you out if they are really a good friend. I know that it's hard times that you are going through, but they should be over soon. A doctors visit or two are better than living with the feeling of guilt that you ate something.

I really hope that you feel better soon.

I would suggest that you call a hotline or talk to someone you can confide in. Next time you start to throw up or think about not eating then sit there and really think about what you are doing to your body. Try to talk to someone who you know you can trust. This week sit your parents down and tell them what is happening to you. Assure them that you know you have a problem, and that you do want help.

I know you didn't want me to lecture you...

But I'll just put in a little something.

You're 12. When, I was twelve, I was definitely short and chubby. But, you grow into it. I'm 5'8" now and I'm a size small. This all came naturally. This is going to sound strange, and please note that I'm totally against eating disorders. But don't even consider that until you've grown into your body.

**Also, I did have an episode of annorexia...so, I do know what you're going through.

Don't worry so much. You're only 12, so figure out why you're doing it in the first place. Do you think you're overweight?
The fact that you're writing on here tells me you might be doing it for attention. Hmm...not a good idea. Yea, it might get your parents worried and concerned for a while but they'll never think of you the same way - they might never be proud of you like they could have been
So suck it up. Yea, so what, you threw up, we all did. Forget about it and try eating healthy - you'll loose weight and people around you will probably get jealous of your amazing self-control.

As hard as it may be, I think you should come out and tell your mom that you have bulimia. Obviously, bulimia is caused by problems in your life (ex. family), so you should probably go to a psychologist to help you. If you can't directly tell your mom, maybe you should tell a friend and the friend's mom will tell your mom. But I'm sure your mom would want it to come from you. Once you are in treatment, it is hard, but everything gets much better. You just have to get over this one hill and then you're on you way to recovery. So tell your Mom. Good luck and I hope you get better!

I am not going to lecture you.

You have an illness. You'd go to a doctor for appendicitis, a broken leg, cancer or a concussion right? Then you should go for this.

This is very serious. You can't self-treat it online, anymore than you could self-treat appendicitis. You need medical attention. A doctor needs to see what damage you may have done to yourself already.

Yes, you're very young. I'd like you to live to be lots older. So would your parents, I'm sure. Sit down with your mother and ASK for medical help with this.
