How can I stop from binge eating?

Lately I have been binge eating a few times a week. I’m still a bit petite, but my clothes are really getting tighter daily, and my face is puffing up. I really want to stop eating. I “crave” food when I’m not even hungry, and I keep thinking about eating something else even though my stomach is so full that it’s actually painful. At that point, I don’t really want to eat, yet, my head keeps on wondering what else I can eat. And then, I’ll just stuff something else into my stomach. I apparently don’t have a lot of self control when it comes to food… What is wrong with me? How I can stop?
(and I’m not an adolescent teenager, I’m in my 20′s so its not like a growth spurt or anything)

just get up and walk away
Find something else to do when you want to eat. Seriously you do not want to let your weight get out of control especially if you are petite. If you MUST binge, eat celery or veggies instead of junk.
Just picture yourself gaining a lot of weight and not being able to wear the clothes you want to wear.
Something is eating you (no pun intended) and making you behave this way. You need to give your self a bit of a self analysis and consider what elements of your life you’re not happy with as this sounds like a coping mechanism. Have their been any changes in your life lately, or any emotional upheavals?
In the interim, don’t surround yourself with quantities of food that you will reach for. If you feel that urge – get yourself out of the house and go for a walk or watch a movie or get engrossed with a good book.
i suffer from the same problem. when you feel the crave coming on, try to think about something else to preoccupy your mind with something other than food. its helping me, so far…
drink water constantly, it totally curbs you appetite. Shoot for 10 8oz glasses a day. Guaranteed results!
Are you eating out of boredom? Find something to occupy your time. You could volunteer. Get a 2nd job. You may need counciling. There is so much that could be going on here for us to answer without knowing a lot more about you.
chewing gum has helped me with this problem. Gum does have a few calories, but chewing it shouldnt make you fat.
It gives your mouth something to chew on and gives you some flavor instead of having to eat someting.
my friend did that….before she’d found out she is pregnant
