i want to know how someone goes from occasionally eating/throwing up to having a serious case of bulimia when she knows and have researched the harmful effects. i’m going through a phase and i want to know how likely it is for me to get lost in it – i believe that right now, i have control.

bulimia is characterized by ‘recurrent’ binging and purging. As general rule, if it is occurring more than twice a week it can be considered recurrent and so can be diagnosed as bulimia nervosa.
The biggest problem with doing it on occasion, is that you can slip into it without even noticing. If a little is good, a lot seems to be better?
It is all too easy to think you have control but to wake up one day and realise you are in too deep and how you got there becomes a blur.
FWIW;; If you are doing this on purpose, you need to tell someone who can help you. It is not healthy and can very quickly become dangerous.
