I’ve heard that dentists will be able to tell if you’re bulimic because it leaves a certain pattern on your teeth that most dentists would be able to identify right away… But how would your doctor be able to tell if you had an eating disorder? Wouldn’t they just think you were losing weight? How would they know it was an ED?

you cannot know when you are the middle of an eating disorder… victims are not aware of their realistic body image… their anxiety is so great they do not think of what it does to their teeth….a doctor or someone close has to be able to spot the signs.
blood sugar levels are the easiest thing to spot out but also a doc can look at the condition of certain cells and the hair shaft and many many other ways of knowing
Believe me they would be able to tell….take it from someone who knows!!!! Dentists arent the only ones that can tell – doctors can too. There are certain signs: u losea ton of weight, u will look gaunt, and mostly u wont be yourself. I was anoreixic last year and it was the worst yr of my life – I was 13 and wieghed in at 52 Ibs.
I think they have all the knowledge to inform anyone if they are suffering from any bad condition. I guess consulting a person with have much knowledge or a person that is specifically trained to look for people who have eating disorder can help a lot.
