My sister was more than 100 lbs. overweight and she has lost quite a bit. I am very proud of her but now it is all she talks about. She exercises constantly and counts her calories before she eats anything. Is this okay or is she leaning toward obsession and anorexia?
Thank you. With this explanation she isn’t anorexic. She does have the “magic number” set up but she is doing it to be skinny and healthy so I will just keep an eye on her.

Well, first of all, it’s important to realize that anorexia is more than just an obsession with weight.
As far as anorexia goes, to be considered anorexic you have to have lost touch with reality, in other words, you genuinely believe that you’re fat even though everyone else thinks you look fine (or look like a skeleton).
As far as obsession goes, the question to ask is, is she obsessed about her WEIGHT or about her HEALTH? Obsession with weight, getting to some “magic number” and staying there, is unhealthy and could eventually turn into anorexia. On the other hand, an “obsession” with becoming the most healthy and fit person you can be is a good thing, although of course like anything can be taken to extremes.
