A person who is anorexic or bulimic can get really sick....to a point in which the heart might not function properly. Because of bad nutrition the hair and skin gets really dry. My sister was bulimic for many years. What I learned is that people with bulimia have a mental illness, they see themselves fat although they are bony/skinny.
