jtizzlicious asked: I think I have a disorder that is like bulimia but doesn’t involve eating.
The same habits are present, binging and purging, feeling out of control.
For example, I will spend lots of money one week and then when I feel out of control I will be extremely frugal and then when i feel back in control I do things to lose that feeling.
This also applies to organization. I will obsessively clean and become very organized, only to gradually become more and more messy and out of control with clutter until I feel completely out of control and then I will continue the cycle.
What does this sound like? Bipolar? I’m planning on seeing a doctor but I wanted to see if anyone could take a guess on what this might be.

I think Hermione would be most likely to have an eating disorder because eating disorders are about control and trying to be perfect and people with eating disorders are usually high acheivers. Doesn’t that sound like Hermione? But I just thought I’d get other people opinions. Ifsomeone e.g. Lupin told them to get help what do you think their reaction would be?

A few months ago i started to binge eat. I eat and eat and eat and only bad fatty foods. I start to feel full, sick and horrible but i continue to shove it in. I’ve tried walking away, having set meals, drinking lots of water, an eating plan, but nothing works, i just can’t control myself. I’m fat and disgusting and i feel so worthless. I know that i’m doing this to myself, i know i hate myself, but i don’t know why? I can’t afford couselling right now. Please help me!

I have binge eating disorder its gotten completely out of hand and I have gained a lot of weight. My doctor perscribed me zoloft but I’ve been reading all over the place that people GAIN on zoloft I’m wondering if this is because they are eating more as they are less depressed or its something in the chemical makeup of the drug. I’ve also read a few places that it does help control binge eating so people can lose weight? What are your experiences?

I lost 70 pounds and was down to my ideal weight. I can control my eating all day, but when night time rolls around, I binge. I’ve already gained back 15 pounds over the holidays and I’m feeling really bad about myself. Does anyone have any advice or insight as to why I lose control at night? I’m going out of town to see family in two months and I would like to lose the weight before then.
